Richard Thayer established TTI in 1995. He held a series of management responsibilities for more than 25 years with AT&T and its affiliated companies and represented AT&T and Bell Laboratories over ten years on communications and information technologies, international trade and investment, research and development, and related issues with the U.S. Congress, the Administration and federal agencies. He has served on the faculties of the City University of New York, the University of Maryland, and Georgetown, has chaired various industry committees on technology and international policy issues and has testified before the federal government on policy issues. He writes a regular column for The Bandwidth Desk.
