closely with leading corporations and industry associations
to support legislation, recently signed by the President,
promoting advanced manufacturing technologies in the U.S.
Basic Research. TTI continues to work with leading
corporations and research institutions to restore federal
support for basic scientific research in mathematics, manufacturing
and the physical sciences, which have made significant contributions
to productivity and to the national economy.
Marshaling Critical Resources Against
Terrorism. TTI
has helped define and implement strategies for effective use
and assessment of critical resources to combat terrorism.
Competition in Telecommunications Services. TTI has
worked with major consulting firms, international carriers,
long distance and local service providers, 3G wireless organizations,
VoIP providers and other CLECs, on requirements of the U.S.
Telecommunications Act of 1996, and with international standards
bodies and the World Trade Organization on international,
regional and country-specific policies and regulations."
Security and Reliability of the
U.S. Communications and Information Infrastructure. Our
1998 research is still timely and showed that the world's
most advanced and sophisticated communications/information
infrastructure remains vulnerable to both physical and cyber
threats and outlines a roadmap to making the infrastructure
more secure.
